Utopian Greek "topos" means "place",The reason why scholars call the ideal island "Utopia", that is, the place without place, the land of did't exist, implies the negation and Transcendence of the present place. Ideal is not necessarily the criticism and negation of reality, but utopia always appears as the opposite of reality. Thus, there is an important difference between ideal and Utopia. But they have a common origin, which is the instinct of human hopes and dreams. Ideal is its general expression, and Utopia is its highest form.
